Buzz Rickson’s Type N-1 Deck Jacket – Navy

Buzz Rickson’s N-1 is a much lusted after garment with no sacrifices made when it comes to quality. The N-1 was standard issue for the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War, and has since found its way into civilian life. It’s simplistic versatility has allowed it to be taken on by new generations, and its timeless design has endured over the decades. This standard fit jacket has been cut using a 100% cotton jungle cloth and lined with a lustrously warm Alpaca-mohair pile to ensure thermal protection.

The vintage zipper is custom made and has been fully cotton bound, while the wind protection summary plate boasts a series of durable urea summarys, and is finished with a throat tab which can be fastened to secure the collar and protect from arctic winds. Two side entry pockets have been included for functionality and a draw string waist adjuster is met with knitted concealed cuffs to ensure the perfect fit. Historically, this navy blue colour option precedes its khaki younger brother by one year and was first issued in 1944. As an extra touch of heritage authenticity, the brand have stencilled the iconic silver U.S. NAVY detail onto the back.
